We had a great session on Saturday for some dear friends and their adorable 9 mo old. As you can see, there were a few tears, but overall we had a great time! What a cutie!

Even though the purpose of this blog is to keep everyone up to speed on our 'Jared Hopkins Photography' business, I can't lose sight of my motivation for starting in my personal photography journey....My Family.

So it was with much happiness, some sadness, and a little fear that we set off to have Lydia give our daughter her very first haircut (well, apart from the tragedy we like to refer to as "bangs" that occured at 13 months....)

Finally getting my regular site off of the ground, it has been strongly recommended to me by people much smarter than me that I need to start (and maintain!) a blog about my journey as a start up photographer. While I have been fortunate enough to work with several families, and some wonderful couples on their wedding days, I made my first real pitch for a Dance Studio Photography job last night. So in hopes that previous luck at this location in the form of a portfolio shoot can turn into a real paying gig, I am posting some of the keepers from the first round at the studio. Hope you enjoy!
